Refrain for using any ice melting product on questionable surfaces: Concrete less than one-year old; pre-cast, stamped or pre-stressed concrete; concrete that is weathered, spalled, cracked, shipped or displays otherwise exposed aggregate; brick or stone; pre-cast steps mortar joints. Use of Ace Ice Melter exaggerates freezing and thawing cycles. The resultant stresses may damage sub-standard surfaces. Such damage may be minimized by sealing surface prior to application and by timely removal of resultant slush.
